Development of graphene-based batteries and other energy-producing systems that utilize graphene’s unique properties, particularly its high level of electrical conductivity and functional properties.
Research into the improvement of capacity, fast charging and optical and chemical properties of graphene oxide were presented.
Participants also learned about the use of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) in the composite materials industry for furnishing advanced materials with special properties.
These nano-materials improve the mechanical properties of polymeric materials and the efficiency of heat conductivity and electrical conductivity.
Polyurethane foam has a variety of industrial applications, in industrial sectors such as furniture, motor vehicles, construction, and cosmetics, with an overall market of 50 billion dollars.
Additives that are introduced into these polyurethanes improve their anti-microbial properties and prevent the development of fungal growth. Current research is examining the effect and properties obtained by using nano-silver, nano-copper and zinc oxide, in order to improve its properties and performance levels and more effectively meet the requirements of these industries.
